What are the Key responsibilities?

• Data Modeling: 3+ years of experience with Data Warehouse modeling, its concepts and processes of collecting, storing, and managing data from various sources to support business intelligence and data analytics. We are production company so we have all around data - sales, financial, HR as well as production data we are utilising or we want to utilise for BI.
• Data Management: knowledge of DB systems MSSQL in both On-Premise environment and Azure. Previous DBA background is a plus.
• Documentation: Maintaining and creating documentation is vital for sharing knowledge about data integration processes, configurations, and troubleshooting.
• Experience in ETL processes and tools. We are using our internal Integration technology (ServiceBus), SSIS packages, Azure Data Factory, various databases, DataBricks and as well as APIs to collect and process data as we need.
• Scripting: Strong scripting skills for automating routine tasks, data processing and data modeling (T-SQL, DAX, optionally also Python).
• Data Integration: Ability to integrate data from diverse sources, including APIs, databases, and third-party services.
• Automation: Proficiency in automating data workflows and pipelines to ensure efficiency and reliability.
• Development Experience: Previous experience in Dev environment and development as such. Use of IDEs such as Visual Studio, and experience with SSMS/Azure Data Studio etc.
• Programming Languages: T-SQL and DAX families primarily, but we do not limit you here - Python, C# and .net framework? We are not afraid of these
• Previous DevOps & Jira experience including:
  o Collaboration and Teamwork and communication between BackEnd, FrontEnd and operations teams as well as requestors and other Kompan teams.
  o Monitoring and Logging of data integrations to detect issues and bottlenecks.
  o Problem-Solving skills to identify and resolve data-related issues and optimise data processes
• Use of data security best practices and the ability to implement security measures to protect sensitive data
• Flexible and creative approach.
• Automating data workflows and pipelines to ensure efficiency and reliability.
• Understanding of Big Picture
• Previous experience with PowerBI or other Business Intelligence (BI) tools is an advantage for better understanding FrontEnd (PowerBI) developers and PowerBI users as we are small in numbers = direct communication is a key which helps to solve issues and requests faster, hence decisions making can be done fast both in development and deployment.
